Write for us
We welcome pitches that reveal a specific, useful angle on festival culture: how a programme takes shape, why a shared custom persists, or what a design choice makes possible. Send proposals through the Contact page.
What to pitch
Propose a focused article about festival forms, spaces, symbols, rituals or origins. A good pitch names the central question, explains why it matters to a general reader and shows what the piece will add beyond a list of observations or familiar tips.
A strong proposal
Tell us the proposed angle, the main points you would explore and the kinds of sources or material you would rely on. We value precise language, a clear distinction between fact and interpretation, and subjects that remain useful beyond one event or season.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then include your pitch in the message. Please do not send a complete article unless we have asked for one. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may not be able to respond to every submission.
A festival is made of more than its acts
The programme matters, but so do the paths between events, the objects people carry and the customs that bring strangers into a shared moment.
